Empathy Symposium 2026
Seeing the power of empathy in healthcare education, research, and practice
This symposium will bring together educators, students, researchers, healthcare practitioners, people with lived experience, and creative practitioners to explore how empathy shapes – and transforms – healthcare. Through research presentations, shared lived experience, interactive discussions, and creative expression, the symposium will provide an opportunity to explore how empathy can be taught, researched, embodied, and practised, with the aim of humanising healthcare.
